NIZO is a private and independent company. We are one of the most advanced R&D centres in the world and bring the latest food technologies to life in the food grade processing centre. Our focus is on the development and applications of innovations for the global food industry and related markets. Our customers value their gains in product quality, sustainability, cost effectiveness and speed to market. We are continuously looking for new ways of improving food products, and at the same time quality of life. Our headquarters are in Ede, the Netherlands.
NIZO is capable to support manufacturers throughout the entire process of bringing a new product to market: from basic R&D and product development through smart process development and scale-up to production. All these steps come together at the pilot plant – the largest in Europe for third-party use and suitable for food grade processes. Here science meets reality. Insight from production informs new developments, while manufacturing challenges can be solved in our lab and solutions brought quickly back to the pilot line fast. This ensures all concepts in innovation are science-based and fully verified.
