How does it work?

Does your organization have a solution for any of the above challenges? If so, submit your solution before the deadline (December 7 at 17.00 CET)!

The challenge owner, along with one or more experts, will review and evaluate your solution. If they see a potential match, you will be personally invited by them for a follow-up meeting to discuss a potential collaboration.

Matchmaking

After the deadline, the company representatives will review all uploaded pitches. The companies with the most interesting solutions will be invited for 1:1 matchmaking conversations. If you are one of them, you will get a personal invitation.

During the matchmaking conversations you will get to know each other, look for opportunities to collaborate and discover if there is a potential partnership. If you both see potential in a collaboration, you will make agreements for the follow-up to collectively make the food industry more sustainable!

FAQs

Who can participate in this challenge?

This challenge is open for startups, scale-ups, SME's, corporates and other innovators who use sidestreams, have sidestreams or want to pitch a sidestream solution. As a startup you already have a proof of concept and traction. However, your concept may also be pre-revenue. 

Are there any costs involved in participating?

To pitch your solution to one or more of the challenges, is free. If you want to publish your own challenge so you can find new solutions or partners to collaborate on sidestream issues, there are costs involved. Just reach out to Emilie Funken to learn more about the possibilities at emilie.funken@bravenewfood.com. 

Is it allowed to participate in multiple challenges?

If your company/solution fits in multiple challenges, it is allowed to participate in multiple challenges.

What happens after uploading my pitch deck?

As soon as you have uploaded your pitch, you will receive a confirmation so that you know that we have received your pitch. It is up to the company representative to follow-up on your pitch by reaching out to you personally. If you both see potential in a collaboration, you can make agreements about a meeting!

What about my IP?

All our partners have signed a contract with us stating that they are not allowed to share the pitches to anyone outside the company. However we advise everybody not to share trade secrets or IP sensitive information in their pitch.
