HAS University of Applied Sciences is a leading Dutch university and expertise centre, specialised in Food, Agriculture and the Living Environment, with approximately 4,000 bachelor students and 500 staff, at two locations in the south of the Netherlands (‘s-Hertogenbosch and Venlo).
We host 12 research groups on subjects such as food & health, sustainable production, protein transition, plant and soil interaction, healthy farming, crop science, biomonitoring, and design methodology. At HAS, professors, lecturers, researchers as well as students participate in applied research and consultancy projects with a wide variety of organisations and businesses, both profit and non-profit, and from start-ups and scale-ups and multinationals.
OUR MAIN INNOVATION GOALS
With all of our projects we want to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Key themes are Good Health and Well-being (SDG3), Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG6), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG12), Climate Action (SDG13) and Life on Land (SDG15).
WHAT WE CAN OFFER STARTUPS, SCALE-UPS & SME'S
Through HAS University of Applied Science, start-ups and SME’s can access government funding for innovation and research, participate in research programmes, access laboratory and pilot facilities, consultancy services, and/or offer internship opportunities.
