At MBP Solutions we turn one industry’s by-product into another industry’s raw material by partnering with them to optimise resource use and generate added value. We are global experts in by-products and their application, including supply chain management, international sales and marketing, legal compliance and sustainability. We have extensive experience of the following industries: Food, Breweries, Cereal, Omega-3 refining, Fish meal production, Oil refining, Biodiesel production and Oleochemistry. We are constantly upgrading the use of by-products, the ultimate ambition being to upcycle by-products into human food. Founded in 1999, we think global and act local. During the past year, our team achieved a turnover of ~200 Million EUR, handled ~500 types of  by-products and residue streams, reaching ~400K MT globally.  

At MBP Solutions, our mandate is hinged on the transformation of by-products into valuable resources. We are interested in finding wide-ranging by-products – particularly those stemming from the oils, fats and fish industry – where they may have potential to increase their value and enhance sustainability, thereby contributing to a circular economy. Our challenge is that significant volumes of these potential resources remain undiscovered or unutilized, reflecting a pressing need for an expansive network of partners who can contribute valuable by-products.

What we are looking for:

1. We are looking for  side streams from the oils, fats, and fish industry (vegetable or animal origin). These may include offcuts, residues, or sludges that could be repurposed and upcycled.

2. We want to establish strong and transparent partnerships with companies who are keen on achieving their sustainability goals by transforming their waste into valuable resources.

3. Implement circular economy business models. Are you interested in working with MBP Solutions?? Then we would like to speak to you!

What we are not looking for:

We are not seeking fossil-based by-products as we exclusively focus on biological raw materials in line with our commitment to sustainability. We are not seeking general non biological waste.

What we offer:

We are actively looking for the best possible application of your by-products, by appling MBP’s core competencies: products and application expertise, supply chain management, international sales and marketing, legal compliance and sustainability 

We specialise in turning by-products into valuable resources. We help companies improve profitability, create new revenue streams, reduce waste, and act more sustainably. From recycling to renewable energy, technical applications, animal feed or human food, our solutions are tailored to your specific needs.

Our partners outsource the management of their by-products to us, freeing up valuable internal resources to focus on their core business activities, safe in the knowledge that their operational priorities are met and they are supporting the circular economy.

Conditions for Participation:

• No restrictions
• We are happy to speak to established businesses with large volumes and equally with start-ups.
• Preferably companies who already have a technology that can use the side-stream, have or can quickly determine if the side stream is suitable. 

How does it work?

• Send in a short and concise description of your needs;
• As soon as you have uploaded your submission, you will receive a confirmation so that you know that we have received your pitch;
• Your submission is only visible to MBP Solutions;
• After the deadline, MBP Solutions will assess all submission individually and invite the companies with the most interesting solutions for a 1:1 conversation to get to know each other and look for opportunities to collaborate.
• We love difficult problems, we would like to solve them for you. 

Pitch Format

• A description of your challenge:
  • Give a short description of what you do, your production process, ambitions, as detailed and visual as possible. In which phase is the solution?
• A description of your company & team; How and when was your company founded? In which phase are you? How many people? In which market are you active? Also a short description of the (managing) team.
• The pitch deck may be submitted in free form (presentation, slide deck, letter form), but must be uploaded as a PDF file (landscape or portrait A4 - max 30MB). Videos, example websites, etc. can be included as a link.

Timeline

• November 8 from 13.00-17.00 CET Startup & Expert event
• December 7 at 17.00 CET: Deadline challenge
• December 8 – December 20: Review period 
• January 2024: 1:1 conversations
• Q1/Q2 2024 onwards: Discuss and start collaboration

• Participation is open for startups, scale-ups, SMEs, grown-ups, innovators and scientists with an innovative product and/or technology.
• You will remain the owner of your intellectual rights, concept or solution in your pitch, until you agree otherwise.
• We strongly advise you to document everything you share with others and mention that information provided is confidential and intellectual property rights remain with you/ your company until agreed otherwise.
• Be aware of the fact that your pitch (and concepts and ideas in it) will be viewed and be shared with (internal) stakeholders. Keep IP sensitive unique (technical) details out of your pitch, keep it a secret that you can share later.
