ABOUT

PLUS Holding B.V. is a Dutch co-operative supermarket chain headquartered in Utrecht. Its 229 members operate as ‘independent entrepreneurs’ 268 stores across the Netherlands. In 2019 the members had a total revenue of €2.6 billion and an overall 6.5% share of the Dutch grocery market. PLUS is at the forefront of developments around sustainable and good food and is also able to respond to this in a relevant way. PLUS distinguishes itself from other supermarkets through quality, convenience and honesty. Besides that, our entrepreneurs play an important role in this – with their personal service and local involvement they are closely connected to the neighbourhood and our customers. Together with these entrepreneurs we are committed to stay ahead of the game in sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility, which are one of our top priorities. We are on the right track with our ambitions because in July 2021 we won the prize for best supermarket. 


Recently it was announced that PLUS and COOP will continue together as one co-operation. This creates a new, powerful combination with approximately 550 stores and a 10% market share under the PLUS formula.

• More focus on local assortment (using the power of local products)

Our needs are especially based on sustainability and health. We want to make our products healthier and more sustainable than the average private label products.


WHAT WE CAN OFFER STARTUPS, SCALE-UPS AND SME'S

PLUS Retail takes advantage of the fact that it is – with 270 stores - big enough to make a difference, and small enough to be flexible. This means a lot is possible and there are many opportunities to market a product within a supermarket with national coverage which known for it’s quality and honesty.
