Today we are taking a new step in the quest for more healthy and sustainable food products. With the Startup Challenge 2022, we are calling on our network of both innovative startups and well-established corporate food companies to work together on new solutions for the urgent problems that face our food system: high emissions, food waste and unhealthy eating habits.
The future of our food
What will we eat when the world population approaches 8 billion by 2030? Where does this food come from? How is it made? These questions are the core of the Startup Challenge.
Accelerating innovation and progress
With an international network of more than 35 food companies and investors and a potential reach of over 1,500 innovative startups, Brave New Food co-founder Jesse 't Lam has high expectations: “Previous Challenges over the years have already led to successful new collaborations. Partner & Pitch Event
The ten most promising ideas from the Startup Challenge will be invited to a Partner & Pitch Event on December 1st, where they will pitch their solutions live to the network partners. An independent jury will award the most promising startup with the honorary title of Brave New Food Startup of the Year 2022.
How does it work?
To participate in the Startup Challenge, all you need to do is this:
1. Upload your pitch deck before November 1st
2. You will receive a free ticket to the Startup & Expert event on November 10th
3. After November 1st, our partners (leading food corporates and impact investors) will review your pitch and they will get the opportunity to invite you for a 1-on-1 meeting
4. On November 15, Brave New Food will announce the 10 most promising startups who will get invited to the Partner & Pitch Event on December 1st
5. At the Partner & Pitch Event the invited startups will pitch their solutions live to the company network partners and a jury will award the most promising startup with the honorary title of Brave New Food Startup of the Year 2022
